Leigh Hassler
Senior Architectural Conservator

A founding member of Materials Conservation, Leigh brings 20 years of experience in the field of Historic Preservation and Architectural Conservation to her work. Her specialties include condition assessment, documentation, treatment design, treatment implementation and project management. Some of Leigh’s more extraordinary projects include the three-year restoration of the Nemours Estate, multiple projects in the University of Virginia’s Academic Village, exterior statuary at Philadelphia’s City Hall, and the Rodin Museum’s Meudon Gate.

Leigh earned a MS in Historic Preservation with a concentration in architectural conservation from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Design. She holds a BA in Architectural History and Architecture from the University of Virginia, and is a member of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works and the Association for Preservation Technology.

At home, Leigh has serious fun with her family, and restoring her 1890's house in northwest Philly.
