Materials Conservation Co., LLC

Materials Conservation Co., LLC incorporates testing and analysis as part of the investigative process and to provide the basis for treatment formulation. Testing and analysis enables Materials Conservation to identify original materials, analyze deterioration mechanisms, recognize previous interventions, and evaluate a material’s relationship with its environment. Materials Conservation maintains in-house microscopy facilities and works with outside consultants to perform additional methods of analysis. Materials Conservation also carries out various testing methodologies on-site to determine the most appropriate methods for treatment in advance of full-scale implementation.
